Hi all, not been on here for ages just after a bit of advice. I’m off to Majorca for a week on Saturday and am looking to play 3 times while I’m there. Never played there before so any recommendations? I’m staying in alcudia but will have a hire car so don’t mind traveling. Thanks.

Capdepera, Canamyel and Son Severa are all not too far away and according to my parents all three of them are nice courses. Buggy recommended, though, because they are very hilly. (I know the area quite well, but have never played golf there myself, so I have to trust my parent's judgement on that)

If you want to treat yourself to something special, Val D'Or a bit further south is very nice (but also quite expensive).

You have to play Alcanada - https://www.golf-alcanada.com/en/

Fantastic views of Alcudia bay with the lighthouse. Expensive, but superb. Think I paid around Euro 150 inc buggy. Buggies have sat nav, some brilliant holes.

Played Pollensa golf several times as well - https://golfpollensa.com/en/ - only 9 holes and a good cheap round. One of the cheapest on the Island and a good cheap way of enjoying the gold on Majorca. Probably the worst course in terms of the island, but still good greens and fun.

Love Majorca

Buggies are pretty much compulsory - so hilly and very hot

One last tip - don't get there as early as the UK - they are often not even open until gone 8am! Arrived at 7am like the UK assuming the clubhouse would be open and had to wait an hour

Take your credit card too as I've never found golf to be cheap in Majorca. Might be cheaper in the hottest summer months but last year in May I paid over 150 euros for Port Andratx Golf Club (with buggy and club hire though). Course was decent enough but a very hilly long walk so couldnt do without the buggy.

Might be worth checking any twilight deals. I recently played in Tenerife and it was less than half price to play after 3pm and the buggy was thrown in for free.

Where abouts please? I'm off in September and looking to get a game.

Buenavista in the NW corner of the island. It's a typical Seve course with 6 of each par. Cost me 42 euro inc buggy on the twilight rate.
