Magnetic ball marker

I had to move my ball marker on the green today 1 putter head to the left, the issue happened when I went to remove the putter and the magnetic ball marker left the ground and followed the putter.

What would the ruling be on this please?

No penalty......you was deemed to have moved the marker in the specific act of marking your ball position so replace marker as near as possible to where it was no nearer the hole ..rule 20-1/6

Had a read anyway and is seems the magnetic thing only works on newer models as the older ones are magnetic!
