Yesterday I couldn't walk (or Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday), hobbled about a bit before retiring to the sofa for the entire day/evening scoffing painkillers like sweeties...

Today I played 9 holes and shot 5 over :mad::mad:

I would say you are just a big girls blouse. No doubt you will have a week off the next time you stub your toe, or break a nail.

I'm just a tough cookie.... although I had to get the missus to load the clubs into the car

The pain was intense at times and I admit to being somewhat scared over the 1st tee shot as it's a par5 and you need to give it a hit. Opted to punch a 5-wood in the end, I'm such a girl!! :p

See Ian before your back gets used to being out mate, be the best ££££ you could spend. I'm playing tonorrow and if it's no better I'll be there Tuesday

Hopefully the painkillers were not masking anything, if your walking like Robocop tomorrow you'll know why.

Perhaps that the answer then. Play injured, walk like you've pooped yourself and ask your partner to get the abll out of the hole for you. I wouldn't do too much though as any aggravation will only make it take longer to heal

You're lucky. I intended to play 9 yesterday to see how my back held up after hurting it a few weeks ago but ended up doing 1-3 and then cutting across to 7 to do 7-9 before going home as my back was pulling and not 100%

Today we were booked in for 18 after spending 1/2 an hour stretching and excercising before setting off I manged to do a very poor 15 before calling it a day.

I'll be trying again tomorrow to see how I get on and hopefully by next week it should be a bit better

Both ... injury or hurt you are describing needs rest & then if it aint geting better, professional help , one thing it doesnt need right now is golf , gota mind small injurys or they turn into something bigger

walk like you've pooped yourself

you saw me then?

I have suffered a back back playing golf for 15yrs, that's part of the reason why I switched to S&T, I'd probably have had to give up otherwise. When it went the other day it was so painful I though that was that, game over, but I'm not one to sit back and do nothing, I'm always stretching and extending, pillows under my back to arch it, hanging upside down off the bed, twisting, bending and generally not letting it sieze up... it's been painful and every morning for the past 4 days I can hardly move. Having suffered for so long I kind of know the moves my body responds to. Right now it hardly hurts at all!! that said I don't think I want to be lashing a drive full tilt just yet... so a few easy 9 holes and hopefully I'll have dodged a bullet.
