Goosed greens?? Camera broken I guess?

Quite the opposite the greens were very good, so much for your doomed 5 years to recover pish. The greens have come on leaps and bounds. Ran true and no issues.

Too wet for a camera!

Prove it,after your reviews I am seriously doubting that.

Fingers crossed though Crawford.;)

I'll let AMcC do the talking but the difference was amazing very impressed how they recovered.

A couple of tiny bare-ish bits on the 9th, 13th and 18th greens and I had to putt through a dodgy bit of grass on the 5th green but overall the greens were amazing considering what they were in May.

Craig was saying the heat in May really gave them a boost. Hopefully they are on the way back to their best.

Great to hear, let's hope it continues, great part of the world and a fantastic golf course.

Fingers crossed for the Dunes too

So, you wished you were on holiday in the Caribbean, but actually you were due to play golf. The birds were hiding in the trees, so you knew it was going to rain and it seemed sensible to pack a brolley.
When you arrived at the course, there was a bloke in a chemical incident safety suit putting on the green, and the only bloke on the course was such an old timer he stills plays with persimmon woods.

(OK, so far)

So, you asked for a helicopter to get you to the first tee and you got laughed at....(no surprise)

Having decided to give up on the game, you went and took pictures of blokes in the shower (this is where it's getting dodgy....!?), got bored of that and ended up having a curry.

:)

Hmm

I know the number of a Therapist....

theres some club throwing or slipping out the hand in there somewhere.?
Some showering (hopefully the male bonding didnt go overboard:o)
Some nice grub at the end.?
Day started off nice and sunny?
Heavy rain?
1 Birdie?
1 lost ball?

close?

Forgot your brolly

couldn't hold on to the driver and helicoptered it down he fairway

playing partner peed himself

he was head & Shoulders above you

you played like a chopper.........

what do i win?

Thecraw was on the beach off the first.

And no one had a camera to capture it.

It peed with rain.

Thecraw helicoptered at least one ( and probably several ) clubs, much to everyones amusement.

Showered.

Fed.

Home.

Good day?

some club throwing mmm i wonder lol lol lol

:temper:

Absolutely not although someone's 3 wood nearly ended up on Machrihanish Dunes off the 9th tee when it helicoptered out of his hands. Nearly wet myself with laughter!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

First time ever on the beach for thecraw - easy par!

Absolutely not, have a word with yourself!

Firstly, what a great montage from Crawford describes the day perfectly. I can't remember the last time I got as wet as that playing golf, but also enjoyed it as much. Great place to play golf.

There were 2 players on the beach at the first and all I am saying is I wasn't one of them. :whoo:

On the ninth we had no idea where Gordon's ball finished as we followed his three wood towards the boundary fence. this was the same Gordon who had forgotten a change of clothes, had no umbrella and had waterproofs which certainly were not !!watching him trying to dry his stuff in the club tumble dryer is something I may need therapy to get over.
The greens have improved immeasurably since I last played in April and are well on the road to recovery. They are slightly discoloured from the disease but this wasn't effecting the roll of the ball.

As for the muffin, all I can say on that is mmmmmmm.

Great day all round that I thoroughly enjoyed, despite some adverse weather and the long journey.
