Keep seeing pics of lynx courses and I'm trying to Krio the lads into a bit of lynx golf. Are there any courses along the Kent, Sussex or Hampshire coast that you guys would suggest.

I know as a rule they like to pay green fees capped at 40-50, but the problem lies with the daft we can only play weekends.

Any suggestions

the Links effect !!:D

There are only a handful of proper links in the south east (did we ever work out a proper definition) , most are pretty pricey

Kent
Royal St Georges about £160 in the summer
Royal Cinque Ports is about £120
Princes about £90
Littlestone about £60

Sussex
Rye (good luck getting on) about £100

Hampshire
Hayling Island about £60-70

(have I left any off)

all will give the proper links experience, deep rough, fast fairways in the summer, pot bunker, wind etc

a few in Devon and Cornwall that are worth a visit if you fancy a trip.

for the price I don't think you can go far wrong with Littlestone or Hayling Island

Seemingly this is the Lynx effect...

Cheers guys, I'm sure when I was younger I caddied for a guy at sandwich or deal, that was a nice course too.

I'll have a chat with the lads, the other option is a road trip

Littlestone and Royal Cinque Ports (Deal) would be my favourites OS. I havn't played Royal St Georges and i Know Princes have spent a lot of money on the course so should be worth a look at

Littlehampton is a nice course but not quite a full blown links course. The front 9 is more links-like and the back 9 is more parkland-like.

Not sure about Hayling Island. We can play there for £15 on some sort of courtesy, but members that did last year were not impressed with its condition. I played the year before when it was not bad, but must admit it is not up there with Saunton in Devon, which has two fantastic links courses. Not the greatest links course, and if you have never played one not sure it will encourage you to play another. Just my opinion.;)
