Hi there - I bought a new Lynx Black Cat Tour Driver (firm, 9.5 degree) about 2 months ago, from an ebay shop (but club was brand new, still in wrapping etc.).

Yesterday while out playing, the Lynx logo badge on the underside started to come away, possibly after hitting the tee. I am wondering, if the badge thing comes off, while this affect the performance of the club, weight etc.? And if so, do I have any rights in terms of getting money back?

I had a look on lynx-golf website but it tells me nothing.

Many thanks in advance

My immediate concern would be 'is the club genuine?' as you bought it off ebay.

I'm sure Lynx would test their equipment out before selling it and would know the badge would come off, so would therefore ensure it didnt?

I am pretty sure that reads tee, so unless he is using saplings as a tee, it should be ok to hit through without damage. That said, the labelling should stay put whatever. I have severely abused most of my sticks, and my labels are still adhered. Maybe I swing like a puff.

Thanks for all the info, it has never crossed my mind it might be counterfeit as I've bought clubs from ebay shops before, with no problems. I'd only buy them from ebay shops though, not ebay auctions.

Yes it was a 'tee' it hit, but there are also a fair few small stones and pieces of shell in the top soil they've recently put on the tee boxes, perhaps this could have caused it. Played with it again last night and it's no further off, if you like, as in only a part of the badge is bent away from the club.

Has anyone had any dealings with Lynx Golf before? Failing that, I think the golf insurance will cover it. Golf is expensive enough without my clubs coming to bits after 3 months use.

Thanks again.

On a different note - how do I get that signature thing going, i.e. what's in my bag?

Cheers

Apologies for my earlier attack of dyslexia.....

I would firstly go back to the shop, as then they can deal with Lynx direct or whoever their agents are - they will then tell you whether 'you have broken it' or 'it has broken'. I suspect I know the answer already but it's worth a try....if you get no joy then try to find out the who the Lynx agents are....

Your golf insurance will probably just laugh at you - it's a bit like breaking the mirror on your car and putting that through an insurance claim...

As for the footer - go to User Options (top left) and it's in their under Profile.....
