Lydia Ko wins again!

It will always be that way because at the very top in 99% of sports the blokes are always better. You just can't argue with that, its nature.

In pro golf, women are not competing against men so the "blokes are better" crap is irrelevant. Women's golf (and indeed wider women's sport) is a valid entity in it's own right and should not be dismissed just because men play the game differently because of greater physical strength.

I wish I was as tall and strong as Laura Davies or Lexi Thompson! :(

As I was otherwise engaged on Sunday evening and this morning, I was rather hoping that Sky would be showing some highlights of the Ladies golf this evening. But no, they are already concentrating on The Masters tournament! :(

There's not 1 sport I can think of where they compete together (sailing?) and I never said it was not a valid entity.

You're missing my point. In all sports I can think of the best men are better than the best women, hence more people watch it than the women's equivalent, hence a commercial entity like sky chose to show the men first. However, given the amount of channels they have they could/should have shown both.

Anyway I'm out.

Show jumping and Equestrian men and ladies compete together with ladies regualry winning the top events beating men

I think we're actually agreeing on my point that it should have been on the red button? :)

Thought we had a great finish to both tournaments Jim Herman showed some grit after having to wait on the 18th tee for 10 minutes staring at water left and sand right!

Will we see a better shot under pressure this year than Lydia Ko's to the last? "Just hit it half a yard left"

How difficult is it for Sky to show all the ladies golf on the red button every week. They could really promote it (if they had the inclination) and it would really be the home of golf then. To be fair they do an ok job showing the women's majors but could do so much more

Probably :D

I actually thought someone had said it was on the red button and they'd rather it had been the other way round. That's what I was disagreeing with, maybe I misread it.

Yeah, it wasn't on the red button and my point was.... why ever not? Not arguing it should replace men's golf just that maybe they could find space somewhere to show all the final groups in a major, even if it was "just" a women's one. :D

Just watched the coverage on sky+ and can't really see what the fuss is about. From what I can see it was a live feed and sky covered at least 2/3 of the leaders final rounds. If they were on at the same time, then sky should absolutely prioritise the women's major, but that was not the case and therefore not an issue.

Back to the golf...

Lydia ko is a phenomenal golfer and a joy to watch. The girl makes it look effortless and she clearly has iced water running through those veins. Would happily watch her over most of her male counterparts and think she would surprise many in a straight up head to head - especially from 150 yards in.

I love watching Lydia too, because she makes golf look like fun and clearly enjoys it, unlike most of the male golfers who look as though they would rather be somewhere else! :)

Different broadcaster & channel for me so I got my fix of the womens major from the Golf Channel through a mix of live & highlights

Pretty good coverage and repeats for the times I was able to view and probably saw far more minutes of this one than the I did for the mens comp
