Lydia Ko won the LPGA Kia Classic over the weekend. For a small and not particularly long hitting New Zealander of Korean extraction, she is pretty phenomenal. She is good at keeping the ball in play, course management, short game and putting. Shows that long hitting isn't everything! I guess that we could all learn something from her game. :)

We could... Aimpoint (off to assume a new identity in South America)

Her first win of the year, so not invincible. But certainly the favourite in any tournament she plays! Her greatest attribute seems to be her ability to 'forget' a bad hole - or shot even! She has had some ridiculously low number of double-bogey (perhaps only 1) this year and there may have only been 1 in much/all of 2015!

And her win in Christchurch on the LET

Think with those stats Id have no problem forgetting my bad holes either lol

I was lucky enough to have a round with a LET player at the weekend and she knows Lydia well and did nothing but sing her praises . A very grounded, polite, fun to be around young lady with a work ethic and desire to improve all the time. Not the longest but manages her all round game better than anyone else.

And again. She wins the first major with a top class pitch at the last after Jutanugarn blows up last 3 holes. Great charge from Charlie Hull to only finish 1 back too!

It's more of a surprise if Lydia Ko doesn't win these days! Well done to Charley Hull for finishing joint 2nd, only one shot behind Lydia.

Amazing talent and a lovely swing.....I was a bit peeved at the lack of coverage Charley Hull got on the Saturday given her 4 birdie run down the stretch. Focusing on Lexi Thompson instead who was spraying it about a bit....still good to watch though...;)

So does David leadbetter get any credit for getting her to perform in the majors. Perhaps the A swing idea does work.Think I need to continue to read the book.

Watched the highlights before work this morning, good viewing

I thought the putting overall was very good (always distorted on a highlights show though)

Ko seems to have the world at her feet just now and despite not being the longest her approach shots are not only well hit but well thought out

Great win by Ko who was there to take advantage of a bit of a crumble by Jatanugran! Great finish by Hull, but what in tarnation happened to Wie?!

I think Ko would be extremely competitive whichever coach she used. DL needs to sort Wie (or maybe her 'team'!) out - though she's apparently a constant 'tweaker'! She was looking quite good until the last round!

I was a bit peeved about the crappy coverage throughout. Don't see why sky couldn't have put it on the red button if they were insistent on concentrating on a run of the mill men's event instead.
