Went to play this evening to hand a supplementary card in, well I only had the lowest round I've ever shot a gross 73 nett 61 44 pts. It was also the midweek comp with the par of course been 69 an CSS at 68 does anyone know what I will get cut please thanks for reading beggsy
Forgot to say my exact hcp is 11.7

Great shooting very well played.

0.2 cut per shot under SSS so looks like your cut will be 1.4, plus any add ons if you've been playing well and had recent cuts etc...

You can't play a Supplementary and play in a comp at the same time - one or the other.

Never said I did or didnt play in comp I did say it was midweek comp day and the CSS was 68 cheers guys for the comments last five medal rounds have all been played to handicap or 1 under

To shoot -8 is a fantastic achievement so well done and I don't think single figures is far away.

The comp CSS is irrelevant to your Supplementary which is gauged against SSS, so a tidy chop of 1.4 (or maybe more if you've been CSS -4 or better on another occasion this year). Good shooting and a well-deserved chop.

My god, you must be very lucky at your track - no N/Rs in 5 medals. With the wildly growing rough with the weather we've had, it's an achievement to finish one medal round never mind 5 consecutive in buffer or better - and then, to top it off, a -7 Supplementary..

There is two cat 1 golfers at our club a lad off 0 and one off 4 the course is a difficult course if you don't hit fairway or green if I play on another course round my area I can easily beat my handicap by a few shots

Just wondering why so few cat 1 players, especially if it a tight course. As a comparison, below is the top 20 odd from my clubs 2nd championship Q this year.

Surely it's easy not to N/R, you just keep hitting provisionals until you know where one of them is. Yes it's a pain, but you can always finish a round.

Yes, but there has been such a prolific growth due to the pattern of weather that players are losing balls which were only just marginally off the fairway. It would be chaotic if all players played provisionals until one of them was definitely on the fairway. We had 7 N/Rs out of 46 on Tuesday and all 7 said they had played provisionals if there was any doubt but decided not to walk back when they couldn't find balls which had only gone into the first cut.
What I was marvelling at was Beggsy's 5 buffers or better in a row in medals as I would have thought his course was also suffering from punishing conditions.
