Hi all, especially all newbie posters.

Played golf on Masters Sunday and noticed the course was heaving, moreso than normal. Was it the effect of watching the first "proper" event of the year spiriting the more occasional golfer back to the game, the better weather or just coincidence.

And could this be the reason for our spate of newbie posters? Answers on a newbie postercard, please. :D

I spend some time on football and fishing forums so it seemed like a natural progression to join in on a golf forum . Don't know where i'm going to find the time to play to be honest :)

I was reading an old GM and noticed the forum bit in the mag, thought that's not a bad idea so here i am.Certainly not because of the masters that i'm on here, and can found on the course every chance i get even with the shitty winter greens.this forum can now be my haven when the missus has corrie/eastenders/any other crap telly show on,before it was old copies,or new when just out of GM TDG GP and any golf mag I can get my hands on.

Ah ha, another one married to a soap addict, you're not the only one.

Me too, soaps on from 5-6 and 7.30 plus holby and the like at 9.00. Might explain why I'm on here a while in the eves.

I get told off by the missus for talking when her programmes are on, generally slagging off the programmes actually!
I therefore escape to the PC to leave her alone. She then normally has a go at me for tapping away at the keyboard!

Note to self, must invest in a touch pad keyboard or use the laptop more often!

So in general, we feign interest in HID programmmes, hide, lie, or generally don't admit to buying new kit or how much it cost, and we take sickies to play golf (well some of us do!!).

Golf - a game were there are no refferees, and we rely on each others honesty when playing regarding cheating etc. Not sure if I would trust any of ya!! :p
