Footjoy Sport are what you want. I got some for Xmas and used them yesterday at a Society meet at Downshire. The course shouldn't have been open but being council run it was. Anyway, I spent all day walking through or standing in puddles as dry bits of fairway were at a Premium and when I finished the shoes were soaked and covered in mud. My socks however were as dry as they were when I put them on in the morning - awesome.

No rubbing or discomfort either, you really can't go wrong.

I second that. I bought a pair of these a few month ago and have been wearing them through this downpour of biblical proportions and the only time my feet felt the slightest bit wet was when I accidentally submerged my foot and the water came through the lace holes. Other than that they have been excellent and incredibly comfortable, unlike my Tour 360's.

Their alright for about 3/4 months then they split alot the front at the sides and leak like the titanic.

Had all 3 pairs of mine go in identical place, and tree seeker off here is on he's third set in a year, which is a Shame their like trainers straight out the box

That's fine, if they split the go back for replacement, new shoes every 4 months sound good to me :whoo:

Might jump in here to also give a mention to my GreenJoys which I bought to play in over the "summer" :D

Won't win any prizes in the style department but (so far) totally waterproof and just wipe clean.

The warranty only stands from the date of purchase on the original pair...... It isn't a rolling 12 month per pair.

If you want waterproof then puma cell fusion, you just have to break them in.

Exactly the same happened to Mine. I had two pairs in the space of 11 weeks and both suffered with the leather coming away from the soles. Shame as I really liked how they felt and looked. Now wearing Mizuno MP's and very happy with them. :)

I'm sill a firm believer of getting Sealskinz socks so don't care if my shoes end up leaking like a sieve. At least I can guarantee getting years instead of months out of a shoe, and it makes no difference if the water goes above the collar of the shoe

FJ sport is one model I know has had issues with splitting. HTL (remember him) got a pair from our pro and had 3 pairs split within weeks. Not a model I would buy and surprised the warranty is from the original date of purchase as I would have thought it should run from delivery of each pair. What happens if you have a pair for 9 months and they go. You get a replacement set and if they go after three months is that it? It must surely be 12 months per pair or am I way off?

To be honest, I was kind of joking. But if they do split, I'll send them back, if those split as well, I'll send them back. If they keep splitting after a couple of months I'll demand my money back or a different shoe.

I think legally the 12 months from purchase is correct but I agree with what you are saying, maybe morally it isn't correct?

When I said this the retailer advised that your contract of sale if from date of purchase.

Surprised at this view.
Surely its both legally, and, morally correct. In the initial purchase you are buying 12 months of waterproof shoe. Which by replacing the shoes up to the end of the 12 months FJ is honouring. You are not buying an entitlement to a rolling 12 month guarantee.

I've had 4 pairs of adidas Adipures. First 3 went within a month each and only 6-7 rounds. This final pair was swapped and finally it seems like they have sorted them.
My AQL beaters have seen the best part of 50 rounds this year and are still watertight. Yes they look battered because the leather has cracked in places but I've yet to get wet feet from them.

So you are saying it is ok for a shoe to split within 3 months as long as they replace them but if after the 5th pair splits after 3 months it would be ok for them to say tough? Doesn't sound like a good business model to me and frankly, if I have 2 pairs of shoes that split in the same place after 3 months of use, I'll not be getting a 3rd pair, I'll be getting my money back.
