Looking for Laser Rangefinder advice & recommendations

Ive had a v2 Bushnell for about 6 months and it works well although my only criticisms are it sometimes doesn't pick up the flag first time and I tend to have to double check and the battery life is quite short. I picked mine up on ebay for a song but the batts are about a fiver a pop each and last about 2 months!! The only thing is that you need to bare in mind is that they can sometime contribute to slow play... and if you have by then build it into to your pre shot routine and you realise you have left it in the boot of your car, its like youve had your leg chopped off!! ..:o

Thanks Chris, will prob go for this wee bad boy (£ vrs performance seems fair to me) I'm looking for a laser to help me from 100yds in so this fits the bill better than a GPS

ps - you played Cruit or Gweedore. Learnt the game on those we tracks - spent every Easter, Xmas & summer in Loughanure (Rosses) up till my Uni days

Cheers for the tip - and to everyone who chipped !

Cruit is probably one of my favourite courses, gweedore not so much but I still like it for the occasional game. If you go for the snooper you wont be disappointed, great piece of kit and more than comparable to the bushnell etc. Only downside is the pouch it comes in isnt particularly robust but that is a minor quibble especially as mine wasnt the S400 but the 500

GPS for me, especially one like Sky Caddie where you can move the flag around on the green to get a reasonably accurate distance. Much better for me with my dodgy eyes and shaky hands which makes trying to lock onto the flag with a rangefinder a nightmare. Add to that I am not good enough to get it to the precise distance and 2 yards +/- from 80-100 yards is good enough for me. I want to get as accurate as I can with the short clubs as I can but swing changes, putting and chipping seem to be taking up all my time

Homer.

Have you read the OP?

Or the Title of the thread?

I had a Nikon laser but it was nicked at the airport. Got a Bushnell V2.

The Bushnell is pretty good but I think the Nikon was better and when the baggage handlers nick the Bushnell I will go back to Nikon.
