Looking for a realistic handicap goal

Yes but literally 24 hours later fell apart... that’s golf any.

'I'm in trouble off the tee. So lets get safely back into play and play for no worse than a double bogey'
We don't want or like double bogies - but we all hate quadruples or worse. They don't just impact the current hole - they mess up your mind for the next hole - and if that goes badly wrong also - the next...
And by playing for a 'safe' double - you never know - you might hole that long putt or hole the little chip on for the bogey - that's the added bonus.
So that would be my handicap goal. No worse than doubles on the card - one hole at a time.
The score will sort itself out.
