Going abit Forum crazy today sorry!

Whats the longest putt you have ever holed. (Could be interesting on here :mmm:)

Mine was about 40 ft... Back of a big green which sloped all the way down to the front... Had to aim atleast10 ft right and it was one of those putts from half way you knew would go in!

I nearly went all american that day and still felt abit high on the next tee box.

Don't know exactly how far it was but about 15 years ago I holed one that was a good 20 paces away, so the best part of 60 feet....
Longest in recent times is about half that.

Measured one at 28 yards quite a few years ago.Got my shot to the green past the middle for a change, but the pin was only a few paces on! 3 or 4 humps to negotiate too.

Missed an 80 yard putt for Eagle (got the Birdie though ;) ) on the 15th of The Old Course once. :)

About 40 feet I was at the front of the green with pin at the back and my brother attending the flag, did not know it went in until he was jumping about as I could not see the hole from where I was.

Is that the hole the american swimmer (can't think of his name) holed that 100 ft putt?

A 20ft hit and hope on a par 3, for birdie! There wasn't much thought to it, guessed the line and gave it a whack.

I am not 100% sure what the longest distance is but I know it will be measly in comparison to others (real and forum distances).
It will defintiely not be longer than 20 foot (not yards ... feet!).

But in forum language, I once holed this;
It was 110 feet and a triple breaker which started down hill before going back up hill, through the windmill and over the bridge. It then blew 9 foot passed the hole before catching a slope, returning back before dieing into the hole. Did I say 110 feet, no it was definitely yards; 110 yards.

Actually , my 80 yarder was on 14 (fat fingers) which is the one with Hell Bunker - was in it and played out backward another time. Putt from the fairway which was the only shot I could 'see' from the position I was with the flag where it was.

Not sure which the swimmer's 100 footer was on.

About 40ft in front of the clubhouse on the 18th last year is the longest I can recall but been really close on a few biggies this year so I'm due a monster soon...

Strangely I can't recall holing any exceptionally long putt, so probably about 25 yards.
However I used to chip in a lot of times.

I recall caddying for my father as a boy and he had an impossible 25 yard putt from the back of the 15th green on Gullane No1.
Hellish fast with about four breaks to the hole which was cut on the very front of the green.
I was standing behind him and must have distracted him because as soon as he hit the putt he turned round and started to give me a good telling off.
I was looking over his shoulder as the ball trickled towards the hole with his three playing partners were frozen in time.
My father was still talking to me and the ball was hardly moving. It stopped on the edge of the hole then plopped in.
The three players burst out laughing and father finally looked round, a bit shame faced!!

No idea. Can't really remember holing anything outrageous but sure I must have done at time in career. I holed a thirty footer in the roll up a few weeks so I guess that is my best. Playing in the Volvo pairs few seasons back we'd gone to the 19th. Long 229 yarder. My opponent out of the hole and I'm on the right fringe about 20 feet away. Their danger man who had done all the work came up short and chipped to about 6 feet. Their other guy was on the front edge with the flag on the back and at least forty feet away. He hit it and it tracked the hole all the way. It hit the flag at a rate of knots and dropped straight in. If it had missed it was off the green. I hit a great putt to try and get the half but came up a few rolls short. Gutted wasn't the word
