I was browsing 'tinternet and saw 'logo over-run' balls. They are £10 - £20 cheaper than normal balls, I saved a tenner on these Callaways.

The description was 'balls printed with companies' logos, who were not happy with the print', which seemed fine. I had the idea of balls with 'BWM' instead of 'BMW' or something like that.

Well, this is what came...

They never mentioned that the logo gets over printed with a big black dot!

I'm now beginging to wonder if the black dot will be a bit off putting? What do you think?

I take it they do other balls too, post a link so I can see what other makes they have and price.
I just found them on Amazon whilst searching for Callaway Hex Chrome. Google 'print over-run' with the make of balls your looking for I'm sure you'll find them. I've also found some print over-run Pro V1s for £30 - apparently they are '13 models too!!

The folks at the big black dot company clearly weren't pleased with their logo.

Actually could be really good. Just position the ball on the tee with the black spot at the impact point and concentrate on hitting the spot with the middle of the club. I have seen this suggested in coaching manuals and in GM instruction if I am not mistaken? only with these, you don't have to draw the black dot on the ball. Brilliant.

Just tee them up with the dot at the back of the ball and use it as a focusing aid. Patent that idea and re-sell the balls for £50 a dozen...:D

Couldn't see the photo at work - images on the forum blocked for some reason & reading the thread up to lunch I thought these were a few small black dots over the logo maybe in a line or something. Really made me chuckle when I actually saw them but I think they are great - as said earlier just tee em up and knock em don't worry about it.

Seem like a good price actually. Hit the black dot and use it as a focal point. The only time it could be off putting would be seeing it run across the green off the putter but I guess once it's on the way it makes no difference
