Been scratching the old noggin a bit recently at some of the odd distance gaps in my set so I took them to a club fitter for a loft & lie check...

It turns out my already "strong" TM's have been on the protein shakes!!! One of my mid irons was 3 degrees out(!!) and none of them was what the OEM says they should be, in fact the comment was "even for TM's these might be a little strong!!!!!!"

The clubs are only actually 3 months old(!!) but I didn't check the lofts when I bought them, just took them out of the box, had the lie adjusted and chucked them in the bag!!! The moral of the tale - don't believe the number on the box, have a fitter check the lofts when you buy clubs and get them checked at least once a year after that I guess?!?! Lesson learned!!!!!

I text our pro this morning looking to get a loft and lie check done. he hasn't text back! he will be getting another phone call tomorrow!

makes you wonder why you buy from OEM's if that's what you end up with?

Did TM do the lie adjustment or a third party - i.e. is this a TM screw up / quality issue or is there a potential third party?

S

My miss tends to be left with my irons so I have them all 1 deg flat because I tend to be toe up at impact, the lies are all ok, as were the short irons, it was the lofts on the mid-irons that were out - as Midnight just said to me on the phone "I told you to get your lofts custom fit you knob!!!" (He had the same issue with a set of Callaways but I didn't believe him!!!)
