Been scratching the old noggin a bit recently at some of the odd distance gaps in my set so I took them to a club fitter for a loft & lie check...
It turns out my already "strong" TM's have been on the protein shakes!!! One of my mid irons was 3 degrees out(!!) and none of them was what the OEM says they should be, in fact the comment was "even for TM's these might be a little strong!!!!!!"
The clubs are only actually 3 months old(!!) but I didn't check the lofts when I bought them, just took them out of the box, had the lie adjusted and chucked them in the bag!!! The moral of the tale - don't believe the number on the box, have a fitter check the lofts when you buy clubs and get them checked at least once a year after that I guess?!?! Lesson learned!!!!!
