Lockdown garden swing videos

My concern is how easy it would be to take it onto the course.
I don't know how inside your backswing was but I think if you want to be shallower into impact, being above plane(steep) on the backswing isn't helping.
As Garry says, if you want to hit a fade all day that's fine but I don't think you want that.
I do think your backswing has gone too far outside.
My advice would be a more neutral backswing.
In the picture below, you will see the red line where your shaft is on the follow throuh. Try and get your shaft on the blue line with a neutral backswing
Thanks Bob, will have a look at that.
There's probably a bit of me exaggerating it whilst not worrying about ball flight. Past experience is I drift back inside as soon I have a ball to watch.
Despite the other comments above I'm very capable of making two quite different swings one after another!
Cheers

This looks a good repeatable swing what are your bad shots?
As all posts have picked up on there are hard pulls and fades in there. But probably the ones that frustrate me the most is I'm reasonably adept at 'flipping the hands' to keep the ball straight, but in doing so add dynamic loft. So those shots that look great initially but end up 15 yards or so short.

The point you make regarding the shaft exit line is interesting. Both Matt Kichar and Hunter Mahan have a low exit point in line with where the red line is.
I was watching a review of a swing and the commentator mentioned that the modern swing has moved to a lower exit point.

How did you share from Google Drive Iain?

I need to set permissions for users to view?

Incentive for helping is my video nasty will distract others from yours

?

It would depend on what type of shot you want to play.
The OP wants to flatten out his angle of attack which means he will come more from the inside.
Aiming for a high finish (blue line) will help the OP

There is an option to create a link that you can share on something like this. I wasn't sure but it seemed to work. I was hoping others might post some up also - we may be in the garden for some time....

Here goes.

I struggle with a flat shoulder plane / poor rotation that makes me come out of posture. Though quite an extreme version so be warned.

DTL and front-on view.

Have had some professional root cause diagnosis and now have things to work on, so not looking for any tips really.

Just thought worth a share so people can have a chuckle and take the pressure off Iain ?

Thanks fella ?

To my amateur eye, do you have your weight favouring your left foot a little at top of backswing?

P.S. @Crow will be happy as you have a golf net and a trampoline in the garden ?

Great thread! Enjoying it, I video’d my swing and slapped it in huddle analysis.
I don’t know how to up load, sorry.
I was over the top, but it only becomes evident as the hands come down around my waist.
Also I lose my hinge relatively early, I start at 90degrees but by impact I am around 150degrees .. I need to look into that

Could try help with the uoad if you want?

Feel free to PM.

Not a full swing video, but I thought I'd try and suss out the tech a bit more. You may have tried the "10 yard bucket" thing, I did and fancied something different (when not practising my back swing :) )

So I have a piece of tarpaulin about 1 yard square beyond the net, with a box about the size of a shoe box on it side. I have 12 balls (just what I had around)
Objective 1 - make 12 over the net. I usually fail this one! Objective 2, try and land on the sheet. Objective 3, in the box.

Anyway after moving the camera around a couple of times, I'd really just recorded a couple when this cheeky bounce happened, so thought I'd better post it :D
Hope it works.

First things first. Get that grass cut!

I know you're used to playing out of the semi, doesn't mean that you have to practice out of it!

??
