Lockdown delights

I'm struggling here, I've been locked up in an apartment for over 1,000 hours now and I've been out for about 2½ hours in all that time

Delights? I haven't run out of cider nor pipe tobacco (cigars are on a strict ration though)

Have made Scotch eggs, fair bit of work involved, hopefully runny in the middle when cut open.....
Id have never attempted something like this in the past.

Er, you could bring them out here. I’ll stick the bbq on and open the beer fridge. There’s two spares rooms but, unfortunately the beer fridge is in one of them:p

Loving the lockdown 95% of the time.
Would love to go and see my dad but that’s the only negative.

I have my own gym equipment so an hour and a half 6 days a week.
My boy has never been fitter as being away from school he’s 100% healthy and flying in training.
Having the wife home is a bonus more quality time together.
The daughter is never unhappy and has all her friends on Zoom or house party.
Tan is way ahead of schedule
So many jobs done around the house done.
Fully repainted.
Still getting out daily on bike or with my son who runs.
Long may it continue, for me anyway

How dreadfully unfortunate that you've had to resort to a sexist joke, however well intentioned, against the best assistant referee that I've ever seen in the professional game.

Every time I've thought she'd made a mistake and then watched it back on TV, she was right & I was wrong, a record that none of her male counterparts can boast.

Now then, Richard, have you always done similar checks on male assistants?

Yes Jim, I have; if I'm at a game live and disagree with a decision then I'll watch the recording back later and see if I was right or wrong. I've made plenty of better calls from the back of a stand than the male assistant referees (the Harry Maguire kick out that they couldn't pick up on VAR I called real time), I've also made wrong ones, but I've never caught Sian Massey out yet; every time I thought I was right & she was wrong, TV replays have proved her to be correct.

Don't get me wrong, I expect them to get some shouts wrong by the very nature of the game, but in my opinion she is head & shoulders above her male counterparts.

Lost you're funny bone?

Do explain to me what's funny about taking the Mickey out of the most competent of those three officials purely on the basis of gender? Because I'm not seeing it. Frankly she could probably do the hoovering and the shopping & still do her job better than the other 2.

For the last 6 weeks...

Not wearing a watch.
Not spent any cash...started with £70 in my wallet, still there.

Mind you my Mrs has made up for that on internet. She has a limited diet and madeira cake is about the best she can do for a sweet treat.
She can't source her supply locally ATM and I came up with the bright idea of buying direct.
£16.95 on Madeira cakes later....
They are Yorkshire Megaloafs and are very nice, usually bought from Morrison's (y)

On the subject of cash...
This could be another nail in the coffin.
Nobody wants cash at the moment and that may not change for many months.
I've got a few hundred in my wallet as I was paid in advance for a block of lessons a few days before lockdown - its almost waste paper and plastic until I can get to the bank to,pay it in so I can use my card to spend it.
