Hello all,

I'm going to be in Liverpool on Sunday, with an unexpected day free.

I'm a rank beginner, but would like to find somewhere to play, or maybe somewhere to get a lesson... or both.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Shame, I'm playing a 36 hole comp at our club on the Sunday.

There are two pay and play options that arewithin 10 and 15 minutes from sefton park.

http://www.allertonmanorgolfclub.com/ - It looks a bit grand on the website, but it is a muni. It has improved greatly in the last two years though.

It has a full 18, as well as a short 9 hole course.

Is a 9 hole par 3 course, which is good fun.

Dont go to Bowring park, is my advice.

If others make you an offer take them up on it.

If your having beers or a meal in the evening, go to Lark lane, which is right next to Sefton park.

Stay away from Smokie Mo's!!

You loved it in there!!

I might be playing Sunday pm depending on comps etc but If everything is OK your welcome to my club about 5 miles from Sevvy park. I'll let you know tomorrow once I've checked the diary.

Swerve allerton if you can.

Weather looks a bit crap... wrecking my head, as my dear ex's mam used to say.

Manor Golf looks like it's worth a look... any news on your movements, Stuart_C?

if you can get a tee time I would go to Allerton. it is a pretty decent muni.

the manor is just a par 3 course. it depend what you are looking for. you will get more golf from Allerton.
