Myself and another forummer are thinking of meeting halfway for a midweek round in October.

Maybe at Mill Green GC, between Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City, or somewhere else in mid-Herts if anyone has any suggestions.

Please post if you might be interested in joining so we can get an idea of numbers.

Could suit anyone in Herts, Beds, Bucks or London.

I've emailed an enquiry to Mill Green GC to get an idea of price for coffee, bacon roll and 18 holes midweek, mid-morning in early October.
I don't know the course but it looks nice and seems like a good location.

I played it once last year, shot 83 even in the midst of some terrible form, so it must be easy. 😁 I remember it being nice and wide which was helpful.

Edit: Have just checked a course map and there are a section of tight tree-lined holes in the middle, then goes back to looking fairly wide.

It's nice, they have spent a fair bit in recent years too with some major modifications in places. Id be interested, haven't played there for a while.
Location wise it's good , links from north and south

Bacon Rolls Tea and Coffee - Served at 10am
18 Holes: First tee from 11.04am
Cost: £55pp

Further to that, just looked at their visitor booking for tomorrow. There are 13 empty tee times between 10 and 12.
I reckon we can agree a date, time and location and book it a couple of days before, rather than shelling out hundreds in advance and suffering cancellation anxiety.

Any advances on Thursday 9th October?

Thursday is probably the worst day for me; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday all good.
