Right, I have decided it's time to get a trolley, with the history of back problems my family have endured over the years it's inevitable I'm going to suffer as well once I hit late 30's. I'm currently 27 years old and my back bothers me for a good 4 or 5 hours after a round of golf, yesterday it was already aching by the time I got to the 11th hole.

I have looked around, contemplated both a push/pull trolley and electric, as I'm a bit of a gadget nut I'd love to get an electric trolley but the costs are way out of my league at the moment. I came across a company called Linden Golf Trolleys - http://www.lindengolftrolleys.co.uk/

Has anyone got any experience of the trolleys they sell? Are they good quality?

picked up a powerbug off ebay for £99 collected with a 36 hole battery and it worked a treat on Sunday. Piece of pish to fold down, can buy all spares via their webby and their own cart bags are only 69 quid.

well the powerbug was recommended to me and have heard plenty of bad stories about pretty much all makes and model so I guess its the usual buyer beware.

I will probably get a gokart next year but after forking out membership, clubs, balls, clothing etc I am skint :)

Hi Swanny.

I've fairly recently got a Linden Golf Trolley. Bought the Lazer model.
An excellent buy and decent quality.
Heard some bad things about Powakaddy and Motocaddy so avoided them.
After the recommendations on here I almost opted for a Go Kart. I just didn't like the look of them. Reliability, excellent customer service I agree are good qualities. Trouble is I just think they look pug ugly. My opinion you understand.

Before I bought I scoured the net at a whole heap of trolleys. The main thing I was looking at, especially on Ebay, was the weight of those on offer.
I have to say that some of them will very definitely give you a hernia getting it out of the boot of the car!
In comparison, the Lazer trolley only weighs 8'5 kgs, has a poweful motor and decent quality battery that laughs at 18 holes.
Buy with confidence mate, they have the spares available should you need them and also give excellent customer service.

I'm well happy with mine. :)

Bit Harsh, I spoke to a Powakaddy rep who even admitted that the new sport trolley isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Reliability and customer service from go-kart? The only reason you would normally have anything to do with customer service is when the shagging thing breaks. I have had my powakaddy for 4 years and know nothing of their customer service, as nothing has went wrong.

What he said!

But then you get a motocaddy or Powakaddy and you pay a hell of a lot more.

So after 4 years and still using the original battery it was false economy? I know which trolley manufacturer I will use when it comes time to replace it.

I can't remember an electric trolley that I haven't heard a complaint about. Powakaddy and motocaddy generally get less complaints but are dear. GO Kart everyone raves about their customer service but are pig ugly and its a worry how many people have had to deal with their customer service. Powerbugs I like the look of and will probaly buy myself but my father in law has one and the connector from the trolley to the battery is faulty. Hillbilly I've never met an owner or heard an owners opinion on them. Never heard of Linden trolleys until now. You might get lucky and have no problems or you may get unlucky and be broken down on the 12th tee every week :D.

I don't know what to do, so many conflicting reports. I want to get a trolley, that's for sure. Do I save and get a Motocaddy or a Powakaddy knowing full well the £200 extra could be used on other things or do I just go with a Linden or maybe stretch to a GoKart....which aren't the best looking things but doesn't look like much can go wrong with them.
