That makes sense but they never used to. As stated in another thread I got a golf buddy platinum for Xmas and that came with a car charger as well as mains. I know price difference but well done Garmin.

If you have an Android phone you should download the SkyDroid app ................. it's fantastic.
It gives you all the yardages you need and you can even map their courses yourself.

Ive just got the Garmin G3. Really small and compact but big enough to read easily. Gives more info than youre after but is very helpful when playing a new course with measurements to hazards as well as F/M/B. Comes with a clip for your bag but is small enough to go into a pocket. I dont like to wear a watch while playing so the G3 suits me.

garmin G3/ G5 OR G6 mate , easy to use , no charges , 3 or 4 free updates a year just go on line and its done in minutes ..

can use ordinary alkaline or re chargeable batteries , touch screen for checking distances to hazzards etc .. has a preview section so if your playing a strange course you can have a look over it the day before ..

i have a G5 and cant fault it in any way

Are you aware B in M that they now do a car charger for the S1 watch. Although not cheap about £25 I think, it may help you when doing 36 holes.

Just checked my standard charger, it's a USB connection into a mains adapter. I can get a USB to cigarette lighter converter on eBay for £2.79 delivered, might solve the issue if the car socket is lice with the ignition off, thanks anotherdouble.
