Life's oddities - mobile phones

I have current accounts with 4 banks and just checking them now halifax and Barclays are the ones you can do it with out of them nationwide and NatWest
Ta - looks like I'm going to have to get an extra account somewhere so I can avail myself of the facility.

And back to original topic - not strange that phone companies no longer market the telephone aspect. The phone stopped being the main element from the very first time a phone could do something additional to making a phone call.

You might, plenty don't. We had an issue with foxes going through brake lines, so let the neighbours know. Most didn't seem to know what a static brake test, but I was reliably informed by the woman next door that this wouldn't be an issue to her as her car was a automatic...:rolleyes:

aye but with modern automatics the static brake test is also automatic, you cannot start the car unless your foot is on the brake.

Except this isn't a modern automatic by some stretch, and you'd still have to realise what the issue is when the brake pedal pedal goes further than it should.

Totally agree. Most of our contact for golf amongst the weekend roll up is by Whatsapp or text. No one calls anymore.

It was something I was taught when I first started to learn to drive (good instructor). Before I had even started to learn how to drive I had learnt how to strip and rebuild most parts of a car as Sunday was spent round a mates who loved to tinker.
