Lesson Update

Not being negative Homer but why don't just quietly work on your game and take your lessons with out looking for public adulation all time. Everyone is going to comment wether good or bad , you should be confident in your own ability and that of your pro that you don't need to come on here looking for comments.

My advice for what it's worth I'd work on your game in peace then boast about when the handicap comes down. I'm in the same boat as you changing pro and taking lesson mine are videoed as well and emailed so I have a record of what I'm doing

I'll see your new pretenders and raise you a few classics (plus a few noobies ;))

Hehe... I went through all those last night and settled on Rhys Davies as the best one :)

It was just to show that there's more ways to choke a chicken... or is that the wrong term? :D:whistle:

I think these Stack and Tilters straighten their right legs. The OP is not a S&T so it is not a good trait in his swing.

Would you really suggest losing knee flex in the swing?

Would I advocate locking the right knee? No.

Would I allow the right leg to 'straighten'... Yes.

I have a wonderful book by Palmer: 'play great golf'. He covers the basics of golf but the one overriding fundamental he repeats time and time again is 'maintain a still head'. There are sequences of his swing from pitching to the driver and his head is rock steady from start to finish. It works.

I wouldn't trust any golf book that was written before the technology allowed us to see what was REALLY going on. That said, if you know how to seperate the wheat from the chaff then there's snippets of good info in a lot of books, just don't take everything as verbatim.

I'm just not getting the whole 'right knee fixation thing'...............???

Been here before James - this right leg theory Just One't go away.

Watsons leg isnt necessarily straight like the pink line, probably more flexed like the black line. It doesnt matter a jot though because I think most people are saying the same thing (inc. yourself). Good to maintain some flex in your right (back) leg, just dont lock the bloody thing straight.
