Went and got a look at my swing last night.

Have been playing good this year, been cut .9 but i noticed i have been losing a tad of distance with my irons, and hitting the ball a tad higher.

Anyway my swing plane was a bit flat and my right side was getting a bit lazy through the ball,so a half an hour lesson and im now hitting the ball with a bit more conviction and squeezing it off the turf.

Just have to wait on the consistency and scoring to come back now :P

£20 well spent

My last lesson was a total failure. Just could not hit it.
He is a good teacher and got my chipping working well on the previous lesson. It is just that I have a mental block on full iron shots.
Got another lesson tomorrow and will really go for it. Hope it works.

I have recently started playing golf and decided to get some lessons. I have found them really beneficial and the instructor is spot on.

The problem is me after the lesson. Stand at the tee and ..............what was it he said.

But overall they are definatley worth it.

i have a lesson every 3-4 months, i like to leave it that long to bed in what ive just been taught.90% of the time they always work...but not always. :(

but hey, i suppose its all down to how you interperet what youve been taught, i too have suffered with mental block!!

I am just back from today's lesson. Last one was a wash out.
The pro said if I cannot "get it" he is minded to call it quits.
He had me strengthening my grip, turning the right hand well under. It started to work so I went on to the course for a few holes. Got a couple flying forty yards further than usual. Puny shots shots compared to the claims of the Willie Wavers but they set me up nicely for tomorrow's medal.

Had my latest lesson last night and the result of all my changes to my backswing according to my Pro after watching the video, and I quote...

"It's perfect"

Clearly it's not actually perfect but it's been a lot of work and a lot of changes getting to this point but it has definately been money well spent :D

Still got a bit of work to do on the transition to the downswing but at least I've got the backswing right, it's just a shame you can't hit a golf ball with the perfect backswing!!!
