left heal lift on backswing?

I tend to lift my left heal on the backswing & swivel on the ball of my left foot to aid my shoulder turn, is this ok, or should my left heal remain planted?

Depend on lots of things.
People will tell you Big Jack did it so it's ok.
But if it causes a sway I would say no, keep it planted and get a better turn.
However, if you have problems with your flexibility or getting on a bit, I don't mind a bit of lift.

I only lift it a bit to make the turn easier.
I will try to keep it planted & see what difference it makes.

Before you go changing,what's currently happening in your swing? Ie are you having any swing issues? Left heel up also worked quite well for mr Watson and he's now 61!

Remember you want resistance in the turn not an overturn.
