It really is so annoying being a left hander not being able to try many clubs.

I currently only have a drive and then 4iron so am looking to bridge the gap with maybe a 4 wood and a 3 rescue.

Had a look in my club shop all they have is 1 3 wood nothing else at all, not even in the custom fit selections.

Went to 2 local American golfs the first had Taylormade 4wood only and the second only have 1 3-4 Callaway rescue.

So I basically get to try 1 maybe 2 clubs. Really does piss me off.

Rant over....

my 3 local AG's have quite a few LH clubs but nowhere near the righties. I suppose they are a business catering for the main market...as your pro is also doing.

Golfbidder have a decent scheme where they advertise you can buy a club, try it and return within a week for full refund. Costs you postage but you'll be able to try a few more possibles that way.

Apart from that I feel your pain

Lefthanded golf is about the best you can do, as long as you live near Bradford or in Surrey ;) I also remember reading somewhere there's a golf club in Derbyshire that also is a left handed specialist. But I then forgot to do anything about it and have completely forgotten which one it was.

As a lefty I have not struggled too much, mostly because I either get fitted or just buy before really trying. Not the wisest move, but as you say, as a lefty it is very difficult to do much testing.

I had a fitting at the Belfrey and they had left handed clubs in all the manufacturers I wanted to try. And I can understand why shops don't stock a huge range as basically we are a niche market, and it would not make business sense to do so.

I can recommend the TM Stage 2 RBZ 23 degree hybrid, it's a doozy in my hands. And I am pretty rubbish.

Thanks guys, that Golfbidder scheme seems like a good plan.

I did get fitted last year for my irons but stupidly at the time didn't think to get fitted for fairway woods etc.

I think I will try a Ping G20 4 wood from Golf bidder. Will let you know how I get on.

Well just went to the range and hit 25 balls with the G20 4 Wood Stiff shaft. All I can say is wow, it goes as far as the driver but so much more consistent though.

Not sure how I have managed with only a driver and 4 iron.

Wondering now if perhaps my regular shaft in my diver is causing the problems and should try a stiff shaft.

I probably have more in my shed than AG from the sound of it - but you are probably about 90min away traffic permitting so it's not that easy for you to try them out....or the 3/5/7 woods rescues etc!

even have a driving range next door
