I've been invited to play Leckford Old course on Friday, its a private course owned by JLP. 2 loops of the same nine holes but different tees I think for the back nine.

Anyone played it?

The closest I've been is Leckford farm :D

Looks very interesting, do let us know how it went.

One of my regular four ball has a girlfriend who works for them, I will ask if he has played it.

I played it a few years ago. First thing to note is that there was no pro shop, I think there was just a drinks machine - so if you need any supplies, take them with you.
As for the course, it is quite hilly, each time I played there the condition was good, even when it was wet. The holes were fairly open allowing for slightly wayward shots but to be honest I do not really remember many of them in detail.
Sorry I could not be more helpful.

It was quite a few years ago when I played it, and I got caught out with the fact there was no pro shop.
We played 36 holes there in the day (well I played about 32 as my back went), but between rounds it was a mad dash to the nearest village to try and find something to eat.

Thanks for the tip offs all.

My contact in fairness said that facilities were scarce and that I should get changed for golf before I set off!

By all accounts its a nice course but you could be forgiven for thinking that it might be a goat track as there's no pro shop!!

I may post something in the review section afterwards as it sounds a bit different.
