Lance Armstrong documentary

I massively doubt that.

for your average person maybe not, but a committed athlete with time to train and the facilities, i wouldn't doubt it, certainly not massively

Which sport?

presumably messi. but giving growth hormone to undersized children is fairly common medical practice. the rumour i heard was that this would be unavailable in Argentina but that Barcelona would pay for the treatment in return for him joining.

Absolutely I believe it. Over the last few years it has become the most tested sport in the world. Riders have a 'biological passport' so any abnormalities can be shown up immediatley. They are tested outside competition all the time, to the point they have to tell the authorities if they are away from home for more than 48 hours. Missing a test is seen as a fail and a ban will be applied. Compare that to Rio Ferdinands 'forgotten' test that was just brushed under the carpet a few years ago.
There will always be the odd fool who tries to get away with it but they get caught now, and are out of a job pretty quickly. Take Sky for example, you don't even need a positive test to get sacked from there, they remove anyone with even a hint of prior doping involvement.
And like athletics ,the cheats and dopers are one step ahead of the testers..Just cos Team Sky have an 'holier than thou' outlook on cycle racing, you are fooling yourself if you think the sport has now cleansed itself..

I massively doubt that.

Which sport?

Why doubt it? Look at all those actors that beef up for roles, are they any different from you or I? They do it reasonably quickly, it ain't rocket science, eat the right stuff at the right time in the right quantity while training properly and hey presto.........muscles.

I noticed you left out the part where I mentioned dietician, nutritionist, personal trainer etc which puts my comment in better context.

I didn't feel I needed all the context in order to explain I disagree with your statement.
I believe there is a big difference between looking buff for a film and having the correct muscle mass for sports.

Fair comment.

Why would you not think at an actor desperate to beef up for a role, wouldn't use external assistance? Surely they are the most likely, as they don't get tested!
