I've been working hard on my distances with my wedges recently, and was just starting to wonder how pro's remember all of the distances?

Do they record them? or just remember them in there heads?

I understand golf is a feel sport, but i recently saw Justin Rose put his 3 yardages for his wedges onto his club using a sharpie.

Howeller has them on his wedges, as do quite a few.

I reckon they hit them that much, most of them are ingrained in their or their caddies memory.. You could always print it and laminate it, hang it off your bag.. Then i can take a pic and send it to GCW...

Most will just know them . However the caddies will most likely always record shot distances in yardage book for references .

Pro golfers don't record club distance as there are way to many influences to take in to consideration.
Course elevation, thick or thin air, temperature and the like.
A player could hit a club 170 yds on one course and hit the same club 200 yds on another course.

Most of this stuff is worked out on the range before play.
A decent caddie on the bag will help a lot with this stuff.

I've got my average 1/4,1/2 and 3/4 swing carry distances on my 3 wedges. I just wrote the figure on a small piece of paper and then sellotaped them onto the shafts. It gives me a ball park figure to work to and is usually accurate to about 5 yards
