Kiss or not to kiss... That is the question.

Yes with the lady members I know , I wouldn't initiate with ladies I don't ( too forward ) but wouldn't refuse if the did , I think you would have fair idea by the end of the round anyhow ,

Most of the time yes although 2 guys at my old club always came in for a kiss on the lips - my stomach is churning now just thinking about it. I got very adept at turning my head just in the nick of time, so the nasty wet kiss found my cheek instead...used to dread the moment though and then try and wipe the slobber away pdq!

This subject scares the bejesus out of me as I don't play a lot of mixed stuff. I'd much prefer exchanging nicely written correspondence thanking pp's for their time, humor and general conversation. Much safer.

The cheek kiss (or more accurately touching cheek to cheek and making a small noise that's supposed to resemble a kiss) is an every day social thing here (French influence I guess)

Anyway its done almost every time you meet a woman you know and also when saying cheerio so its done quite naturally at the end of a round of golf too

So it wouldn't be unusual to kiss a lady on both cheeks when you meet before playing a round, kiss again on 18th and then again when saying bye!

Add to that kissing all the ladies you meet in the clubhouse who're not in your 4-ball, then any you missed when you leave, it can get quite hard keeping track of the ones you've already done

Its only scary when you can see they've worked up a bit of a sweat!

I got into trouble playing with a lady once when she left herself an 8" putt for par and I said "I've heard you like them that length".
It was taken totally out of context....
Her playing partner (husband) wasn't best pleased....
