Lucky enough to be invited by a friend to play the Kings Course this weekend. Haven't played the Kings since early last year - anyone played recently ? Can't wait as should be in great condition.

Also looking foward to getting up close to the Pro's as they hack their way around the PGA in the Johnny Walker. Looks like those guys have got a monopoly on the practice area for the weekend...doesn't bode well for me...no warm up for a 8.10 tee off - gulp !! (will just have to have a 2nd bacon roll then)

Will post a course review next week.

there is still a warm up area beside the pond as the academy is shut, its only a 7/8 iron distance but its still a warm up.
The Kings is in good condition, much better than the PGA, greens are fast and tricky. Make sure you stop at the halfway house for a 100% beefburger.
P.S Dont hook at the 3rd or you'll hit the Johnny Walker pro's.

Cheers Darth, will try and get up early for a swing. Yep - Kings leaves the PGA standing as far as I am concerned. I will be careful at the halfway though as one of teh lads twisted his ankle in a hole beside it in May. Done his ligaments...he is getting his Gleneagles subs for next year paid for by the hotel in lieu of a comp claim.
( and a free weekend stay to keep the missus happy)
