Last week he posted a tip about placing driver in the middle of your stance when you set up with the ball in it's normal position, for me left heel. Keeping your eye in the ball you swing from this position. Idea is that it prevents you setting up with your shoulders open. Got the chance to play 12 holes today. Result: one bad drive (where I took my eye off the ball d'oh), one ok drive and four excellent ones. Average: 256 yards. Score for those five holes +4. Scoring problems: putted like knob!

This could be the start of something beautiful...or a random coincidence! I'm an optimist so going for the former Thanks fella, cheques in the post :thup:

I tried that at the range the other night and can honestly say it made bugger all difference - but then my driving is good so it would have been hard to make an improvement

James is on the ball Tiger....Apparently he was FIR machine in his day....From the video link i posted with Shawn clements in it he refers to Mo Norman in a good few of his videos.....Thats exactly the way Mo played the ball... Im glad it worked for you.....It seems to be doing ok for me also....

OK, seriously, why would you want to take someone's eccentricities in incorporate them into your own games... do you see ANY decent players doing this? Why not take Furyk's eccentricities and start swinging the club up vertical or Trevino's and stand half an hour open to the ball

Step back and ask yourself if you want to (a) patch up a non functioning swing with some quirky ill-informed fixes OR (b) learn to swing the club properly







NB: If you answer (a) I have some lucky rabbits feet for sale that'll definitely get you hitting a nice draw

LMAO JO!!! All I can say is the Shawn Clements tip worked for me today. I normally cut across the ball a lot and today I didn't. I know I need to work on my swing to be more in to out but surely how you set up isn't the same as swatting flies at the top of your backswing a la Furyk!

All I can say is the Shawn Clements tip worked for me today. I normally cut across the ball a lot and today I didn't.

Make sure you put your address on the back of the cheque so I know where to post the rabbits foot!

Straightest maybe but not the best in overall terms.

Never cut it on the main tour,the rest of his game must have been pish eh?

Hit plenty of FIR and GIR but three putted a lot. Needed a V-Easy

Actually Moe was an autistic savant which contributed to him not fitting in or feeling welcome. This is the reason he didn't continue.

Can i put one on my key ring James?.....

Seriously though....Im not saying i want moe's swing.....Surely everyones is different and if a small tip like this can get me driving the ball straighter then im all for it.....At the end of the day what matters is getting the face back square at impact....
And since i started using this address position with the driver im hitting the ball better with that particular club....I dont have so many issues with the rest of my bag....All i know is that if im hitting my driver well it has a knock on effect on the rest of my game.

But ill still have that foot if its going
