Kickboard removal

Any tips for getting kickboards off without gouging chunks out ot the top/bottoms
Suspect we have some rodent friends the way the JRTs were sniffing at them last night.

If you have a hot melt glue gun, just hot melt a couple of pins (screws/nails etc) to the fronts, pull them out and then the glue just peels off.

Used this trick on ours when we had a suspected leaking pipe.

Can you push one end in and the other pop out?

Found a solution, used the suction cup on a knife sharpener, took a couple of attempted to find a spot where it would hold, but the first one came off and can get access to the others now.
No sign of any Mickey's.
