Karl Morris - The Mind Factor Gig reviewed

saw Karl tonight - he was ace - very amusing, lots of little anecdotes.

and some great advice (see the OP for the advice!)

i have taken a couple of things from the talk - will put them into practise

so much better than reading a book!

oh there is no doubt he is telling you what you already know - deep down!

however, what he does do is to explain very clearly what 'coaching' can do for you
we all agreed last night that the mind is anything from 75% to 95% of the game, but then we dont do anything to train the brain, or memory to remember the good shots.

I had already agreed with my pro that we'd do more coaching this year, rather than me going to him to fix me when i go wrong. but i had no idea what the coaching could consist of. now i do!

I came away from the talk with an incredibly positive attitude towards my golf. Am really looking forward to my game today ;)

The thing of his that I try to use is the "postive body language" one- we all have a way we walk when things are going well- little faster, head up, relaxed body... just think of the Sunday leader walking up the 18th fairway. It really does help- bit like making yourself smile when you are not feeling great

aye - he said always keep your eyes above the flag...if your eyes are up, your body is up and you feel good!!

just little tips - but I'm sure they will make a difference

thought his talk was worth the money - would recommend people to go listen to him ;)
