I want to purchase a new Ping K15 Driver and have beensearching for the best deals online. I have found one site to be far, farcheaper than any other but I question the integrity. The site in question is
http://www.cheapgolfonline.co.uk.

They do not have a contact address on their site and willnot respond to my request to inform me where they are based. The written Englishon the site is pretty informal and basic which has caused alarm bells with me.

Has anyone bought from this site? Or had any issues?

I’m hoping not as they are so much cheaper than anyone else.

Thanks
Tom

PS. Anyone using the K15 Driver? Lots of great reviews butwould be good to hear independent feedback.

Now i'm no expert, but it's screaming "FAKE" at me louder than a 2 year old having a tantrum in Aldi... I wouldn't spend my money there..take care..

Hi and welcome

The normal view of the guys on here is, if it's a lot cheaper than anywhere else then you have to be very wary. A too good to be true deal is usually too good to be true!

The Titleist AP 2 irons on that site are a fraction of what I paid for them, and I got them at cost price and this was confirmed by 2 pro's so what does that suggest?

I wouldn't touch that site with Smiffy's

Well Dodgy id say " Thank you for your precious order" got to be indian or chinese knock off shop

Fragger Has Spoken

wow!!

Can’t believe they can be so blatant, cheeky b's.

The company would answer all my questions apart from "what’s your address?" !!!!!

Better get my wallet out and stop being so tight.

1st of many posts hope
Thanks again
Tom

Several things jump out at me.

The language they are using... capitalisation after a comma, the 'precious order' mentioned above, having any question rather than questions... It all sounds like a very poorly written site and whilst there might be one or two items like that on a legitimate site I doubt there would be so many.

Next... Someone is asking for their registered address and they do not respond. No legitmate business would have a problem with telling you this.

As mentioned above... Ping do not sell online.

Customs Duty is declared as a GIFT so you don't pay import taxes. Yeah right.

This one is good from their FAQ

"Q. Package broken when received?

A. In case that the package was damaged obviously when arrived. Please deny the parcel and contact us in a hurry."

Last... I can't find their company registration anywhere online. And you can always manage that with a real company.

AVOID!
The language in that is really not something I would expect. Deny the package?

Avoid like the plague - and Im not talking about the retailer!! Have you tried a K15? I had one for about three weeks earlier this year and hated it. Got rid of it very shortly thereafter. No idea why I allowed myself to be talked into buying it. :(

Not strictly true, you have to call the shop to order but can see it online with pricing as well.
YOu can see it and see the pricing but you can't physically press a button and buy it online from any authorised stockist. Same with Titleist now.
And I can see many more going down the same route.
If you want to buy new then you have to pick up the phone

I like the "hassel free returns" bit, you have to pay to send it back and they examine it and if they think it was damaged outside of their control they won't send it back to you unless you pay again. Thats 3 lots of postage to pay for your damaged goods back.

i've had a real one for 3 months - it's a revelation, i have gained lots and lots of yards and hardly miss a fairway . Am seriously happy with it. I had a Callway GBB before which i thought was the bees knees until i started playing the K15.
