R.I.P Benross pure red augusta, you were truly the best putter I have ever had :'(. Anyway, now i have got that over with, does anyone have any ideas of a good classic anser style putter for around the £50 mark? I really need some advice...

Well Online are actually doing Benross Pure Red Augusta for 49.99!

Also TM Est 79 for 39.99 if you fancy a change, but same style.

I don't think I will be buying another pure red. It may putt well, but the way that the paint flakes off after about 5 rounds really makes me want to change to a different brand. That Taylormade looks good for the money though

A fantastic putter which has great feel weight and plenty of feedback and in the right hands would be up there with the best of them. just a shame a put it away wet and the shaft has several rust spots. A dishes scourer has got some of them off but not all so time for a shiney

danf121 - off topic but how do you find your driver - assume it has the voodoo shaft?

Was going to say that you surely need to try some out, but then I remebered the putter in my sig I bought blind as there was a cracking deal on (£65) about four years ago!

My advise would be to go and see a pro and get fitted for properly.

I know I bang on about it on every thread like it, but IMHO it makes a massive difference.

Yep, voodoo shaft. It's not the best driver I have ever had imho. I used to have a bridgestone j33r which felt much more comfortable with, you really have to hit the benross right out the middle otherwise you will find yourself well short of what you would expect
