evening all......as ive only just started playing golf im not a member anywhere i just play the council courses

does anyone know of any cheap golf clubs in aberdeen i dont mind paying up to about £500 for membership

From memory, everytime this sort of topic comes up, most of us down south are very jealous at the quality of course you can become a member of in Scotland for comparitively little money.

I think you'll get lots of great choices.

I would think that amount, at this time, would get you into all bar Murcar, Royal Aberdeen and Deeside.

If you exclude the Council courses (4x18 +1x9) super value and a club attached to one will offer an opportunity to work on your game and you can then select the club best for you once you reach that standard.
You will find that the other private courses tend to be outwith the city and therefore maybe your home could dictate a preference.

Stonehaven - no entry fee - looking for members
Kintore - as above
Kemney - as above
Newmacher - as above
Banchory - as above
As you can see they all tend to be 8/15 miles from the city and are all good golf courses.

Westhill is also 'as above' but the course is on a hill.
Craibstone (Kingswells) also 'as above' but not to everyone's taste - still maturing.

The latter two if you stay locally, are on your doorstep.

If I can be of further assistance let me know.
