The wife and I are away to see John Bishop tonight at the SECC, got the tickets roughly in November last year and it has been a long time coming, can't wait and should be a good laugh. Anyone else going to see him the night ?

Are you engaging the services of a translator?

We saw Peter Kay last year and it was fabulous, enjoy tonight!

Peter Kay I love, Bishop total opposite for me, he repeats the last part of his sentences so often to emphasise the ....wait for it...wait for it....punchline plus his stories are so far removed from reality they're not funny at all....for me. Just my opinion but he's sooo popular with many.

Peter Kay is like your really really funny best mate:thup:

Us scousers need a translator for John Bishop, his "scouse" accent is way over the top. The first time I heard him was when he was a dj on a local radio station, and I thought, what type of scouser talks like that?

He has lived in Manchester for the last 10 years or so, so presumes he tries to make up for it. He seems a sound fella, but his accent is way over the top. Er,lar.

Micky Flanagan better than both of them for me.

Enjoy.

Micky Flanagan is my new Favorite comedian at the moment. I thought he was a bit of a knob when he first showed up on the Mock the week etc, but his stand up is seriously funny.

Talking about OTT accents.......Paddy Mcguinness, not many in bolton have an accent as strong as that, well, maybe Peter Kay.

Got Flanagan tickets for next year, can't wait. His 'Out out tour was brilliant. I quite like Bishop too hope you had a good night.

I had tickets for John Bishop at the Bournemouth International Centre but had to flog them at work when mum became ill. The lady I sold them to thought it was superb so everyone's a winner. Still think Kay is king of the stand up
