Just spent the evening trying to fix up all the games I have to get played in the next few weeks and realised what a plonker I am signing up for everything going.

I have 16 competitions / games planned in 5 weeks. Not too bad you may think but I am working each weekday and have 2 trips abroad with work to Germany & Austria (not as great as it sounds believe me) , a funeral, a weekend away and 2 gigs to go to in the same time period:confused:.

I have my name down for comps at the club the next few weekends and a couple of midweek medals trying to get my HC down - which accounts for some of the games, I have entered 4 knockouts and all the games need to be complete in that time also (2 pairs and 2 singles), I have a charity game, a memorial game & 2 society games.

HID is not that impressed with it now its all on the calender

I got the competition bug last year having not played in anything before that so just went for it without really realising the impact. Its looking a bit busy!!

I also had an offer of a game when in Austria - that one may stay off the calender so I can plead that its been a busy work week there also!

I need a fixture secretary I wonder if HID fancies helping out

How is everyone else's schedule looking - is it just me who has cocked up ?

In a worse spot than you are lol

In April I am supposed to be playing 2 winter knockout finals and 4 summer knockout first rounds, with 3 more knockouts starting in May. Add to that a weekend away at Stoke by Nayland and another at Woodhall Spa in April as well as a couple of other away days, and caddying for our pro for a couple of days in the first week of May.

An then in the first week in April I rupture my calf and am still on crutches now and unlikely to be on the golf course before the first week in May (and thats probably optimistic). Once I am back Im under strict orders to take it easy - lol Im going to have about 10 knockouts in 20 days to play

Yep I do have 2 great kids but at the moment more angsty teenagers than kids and unless it involves lifts to somewhere or needing money they dont appear much. On Saturdays they are usually still in bed when I get back from playing so they don't even realise that I have been unless I bore them recounting each shot :p My lad does golf but he is just finishing his exams and getting ready for University entry so has put it on hold.

I had just miscalculated the timings for the games and now they are all on the calender its a bit heavy going.

I wish i had this problem! Ive only got my clubs regular saturday comps, ive been having a look around for a few other to enter.

Used schedule my golf somewhat similarly, and was never off the course.....................

....................... my second wife doesn't give me the same level of freedom.............. and I've learned the lesson.
