Played yesterday and fairways have gone , just baked off and dusty and hardly any green on some of them. Greens were pooh anyway and still are , the balls were jumping all over the place on them. We need a substantial amount of rain over a efw days to give the course a chance to sort itself out

Similar problem on the fairway front. Greens and tee boxes have been watered but the fairways are really struggling. That said I'm still hoping the rain holds off until after I've played my medal!

Ours is bloody awful atmo. We were desperate for rain and now we've had some the greenkeeper has top dressed the greens so just like Imurg's place, the ball has a 2" diameter by the time it reaches the hole

21 degrees now and forecast for the time I'm on the course tomorrow is for rain.

well according to the iphone were due rain today, tomorrow and sunday, but its bright sunshine here. hmmm.

We followed a Greenkeeper round today. He was watering the greens before we got there. As we got to hit our approach shots he turned off the sprinklers and moved on to the next green. So each green had about 10 minutes "rain" before we played it. Actually made it more tricky on some as there was standing puddles to negotiate!
With the weather this weekend it looks like they might be ok in a week or 2's time.

I reckon most greenkeepers were doing a rain dance yesterday because i think every track needs a bit of rain.

I played our doubles match on wednesday and the greenkeeper had top dressed them that morning so hopefully after this bit of rain they'll be even better than they have been.

Ha ha! It's funny, I'm off at 9.44 and have just packed the waterproofs. Already expecting the dreaded 0.1
