Watches

I've got clocks in all rooms of my house.
Clock on the computer
Clock on my phone
Clock on the cooker
Clock in the car
Clock on my telly.
Why do I need a watch?
And they all have to be changed at the weekend.

Do you think watches will eventually die out?

I would have thought so, I still wear a watch but I to be honest I don't need it with the amount of technology that has them, they are quickly becoming just a fashion accesory which I think is a bit sad in a way

Looking in a Jewelers last week on the Continent. Not so much watches as jewellery that tells the time, one little green and gold beaut by Rolex 27000 euros. Dying out- I don't think so.

I've not worn a watch in 20 years. I love them though as gadgets....for sure.

Part of the problem is being left handed and wearing them on the wrong hand so the dongle-windey-thing digs in my skin.

I think a man is supposed to wear a watch on the left wrist (to leave the dominant hand free - maybe ask Smiffy?!).

I think they're safely going to be around for a while.

I still utilise my pocket watch every day, wind it up faithfully every night, 28 turns and it keeps time beautifully. Sometimes I even polish her. Lovely.

Haven't worn a watch since about '83/'84...
Had an accident with it that left a huge hole in my wrist. Couldn't wear one for about 3months and just got out of the habit.

I don't wear my watch(es) all the time, but when I leave the house for the Pub/Restaurant/Cinema etc, I wouldn't dream of leaving the house without it... A good watch is an essential to me... And I do wear mine on the course...

I have to change the clocks at work tonight. I think there are about about 30 or so. Not looking forward to it.

Luckily the PC and phone sort themselves out. At home this leaves me about 2 clocks to sort out as the other 2 I have need new batteries anyway! Don't wear watches but have about 5 of the little blighters.

I wear an automatic longines every day, and a gold omega when I go out. I used to have more omegas, but they got nicked. I feel naked without a watch on. Have worn one every day since I was about 10. Only take it off at bed time. Used to wear my stainless omega to bed too. Happy days.
