As Monty said, if Rory plays today like he has done the last 3 then he will win the Masters.
There's only really 6 that can beat him as long as he doesn't blow up Johnson style.
If he shoots in the 60's then nobody can get near him.

Wouldn't it be great to have a 1-2 , Rory, Luke finish...

Good luck Guys - bring home the Bacon!! :D

I'd love to see him win it. He's brave, and doesn't hold back. It's great to see that kind of golf get rewarded.

My only other hope is that Freddie boy can put together a nice mid 60's round to haul himself up into a top 5 spot. £10.00 each way @ 125/1 would pay for my new GPS
;)

Didn't you sell a Skycaddie a while back coz you didn't use it...?? :D

Which one are you saving up for?

Garmin Approach S1 Wristwatch.
No download faffing around, no subscription fees. I wear a wristwatch anyway so it won't feel "odd".
Just gives distance to front/middle/back of green which is all I ever used the Skycaddie for.
I was going to treat myself to a new watch anyway as mine is in need of replacement, I thought "what the heck" and pulled the trigger.
Seems ideal for my requirements, just turn it on when you get to a course and it knows where it is.
As I say, no downloading of courses as it comes pre-loaded with over 5,000.
Should have it in time for next week-end.

;)

He's saying all the right things.."only thing on his mind is the first tee shot" etc etc.... I really hope he doesnt choke , In the words of his countrymen........ C'MON WEE MON !!!!!!!!!!

Natural golf and it's superb to watch. After seeing him at St Andrews I said to my old man his game suited Augusta....high ball flight and a right to lefter.I was so confident I put the huge sum of £1 on him and wasted my bigger stakes on choppers like Kim and Johnson!! ;)

Really hope he can do it because he may suffer badly if he doesn't....he needs to do it or not being able to finish it off may become a monkey on his young back.

I'm with Dodger in that falling form this position may do to him what it did to Sergio. I really hope not and having G-Mac around who has been through it recently may help. I have a feeling he will just go out and play his natural game but if someone like Schwartzel or Cabrera goes low early it will be fascinating to see if it affects him.

I bloody hope not!

Be interesting to see how he plays in a new partnership, I think some of what he has been doing has been down to a good 'relationship' with Day.

His long game is 100% up to it. Best in the world in my opinion. I do have slight doubts over his putting under the extreme pressure of the green jacket! :/

Feary, didnt you see hit putt on the 17th? :)

He virtually gave himself a birdie putt on every hole, no matter how good a putter you are, you wont take all of them.
His putting is the focus as the rest of his game is so strong, I reckon he could go on and win by quite the margin.

His distance control with the irons has been fantastic. Just hope when the adrenalin kicks in on the back nine his nice draw doesn't turn into nasty hook. Long left with all the water not good. :(

Think he will win , but i have a feeling it is going to be a nervous evening.

I think he'll walk it, the guys right behind him aren't Phil and Tiger so there's no-one to intimidate him. He'll win by at least 3 I think.
Cabrera is a good Augusta player but not someone he'll fear.
Last day pins are usually tough so par golf will be fine for Rory. Others will have to chase too hard and come undone.

Re: It's Rory's for the losing.

He should be favourite as he is 4 ahead, BUT by the time he stands on the 2nd tee he could realistically only be leading by 1 - that would test his mettle early on....

14/1 Cabrera is a very interesting price but the favourite winning margin is currently 'playoff'....

Schwarztel, Cabrera, McIlrory playoff....

Re: It's Rory's for the losing.

I'm hoping for Luke Donald to win the masters. £5 on him to win at 25/1. Come on Luuuuuuuke

He'll do well as long as he doesn't wear that white chino/white shirt combo.
Looks like a tube of toothpaste

;)

I wonder if Rory will wear a red shirt :D

Re: It's Rory's for the losing.

Interesting that he'd be the second youngest winner yet a lot of talk already in his career that he needs to win one soon. Woods hasnt had a bad career and there's only a few months in it.

I really hope he wins, could do a lot of damage at an early age losing it from here.

Re: It's Rory's for the losing.

I think Amen Corner will be pivotal. OK it's old news but for someone who has never been in this position before there is so much potential danger in these holes that a two or three shot lead isn't necessarily a huge margin. If he gets through there untroubled then he'll be fine.

Don't quite understand this amen corner thing. I wholeheartedly agree that 12 is a very awkward dangerous hole but 11 is simply don't hook your second and if you've got a lead hit it down the right.
13 is a very straightforward par 5, it only gets risky if you have to get there in two. Even if you hit it in the water, most pros can get up and down after drop for par. Bogey at worst.
