weekly quid a man stableford round,

this morning things wernt going right and continued on the first tee which dived into the water on the left, dropped a ball and scored 8 on the opening hole which is a par4

then it all changed, i cant explain it things just clicked, i was hitting my irons so sweet, putting was on line,

ok i didnt score any birdies had a cpl of chances but the story of the day was bogeys i have never hit so many
2,3,4 all bogeys 5 i holed for par, 6,7,8,9 all bogeys 10th i missed bogey every so slihtly and shot a double, and bogied the 11th

12th hole par 3 173yds, didnt get to the green until my 4th shot and 2 putted for 3 over! i was wondering when i would imploded, but i stuck in there and forgot which is hard for me, it worked as i pared the 13th narrowly missing birdie, 14th i doubled bogied, then finished out the remaining holes with a bogie!

ok it doesnt make great reading score wise but to me and others that have been here for the first time its fantastic!! shot my best round ever and broke a 100 by shooting 95!

im soo ecstatic right now!

also playing of 22 as i haven't an official handicap yet i scored another PB by bagging 35points,

so 3rd card is in to be processed pay my joining fees next week will soon have an offcial HC

do you think it could have been because i went out and bought a green apple nike golf polo? only joking guys!

You left your Mank Utd top at home and wore golf attire...and hit a pb....!!!! ;) ;) ;)

but i wore golf attire last ruesday, and shot 119!

that aside tho, it just all came together for me, and can still see where i can do better, the round was littered with silly mistakes,

drop shot after finding the water on the first, bunker shot where i took 2 to get out, poorly judged wedge's leaving them on the green but far to short, bump and run's leaving them long, and three 3 putts and of course fat shots, and many more!

I tried to forget about the score i could put up, and played "risky" shots which thankfully today payed off,

sliced drive right on one hole through very tall trees onto the next fairway, thought i had enough to hit a 7i to the left of the green, just caught top of the trees and landed 30ish yards from the green, propmtly under hit my wedge on the next shot,

pushed drive left on the 18th wall of bushes and medium sized trees should of wedge out right to the opening to play next shot, but knew i could get 7i up quick enough and over, hit it slightly fat and clip a fair few twigs leafs on the way through but mananged to get it 100yds leaving an 8i to the green which i hit fat and landed well short so a wedge to the green landed a yard past the flag on the fringe of the green 5yards to the right, lipped the par putted and dropped it for 6!

just a quick brief on these holes i can see huge areas for improovments, where i could of saved shots!

so happy after todays round!

If there are 500 active members on this forum, 499 of them could say that after their very next round
;)

only said it because regardless of how happy i am with the round im still not happy with the mistakes i made, i dont want to get caught up with i broke 100 and all that, i want to improve and identifying where i went wrong by breaking down the round, it will only help me produce lower scores
