A few years ago, having been down to one car for financial reasons, we decided we definitely needed a second car again. Wife goes out to source a banger, the brief was just get me a runner with decent MOT on it that can get me to and from work (to quote Trains, Planes and Auto mobiles - four F****** wheels and a seat). Did she listen? of course not, ancient (a grand) Racing Green BMW 320i, the 6 cylinder one, tinted windows, total cop magnet! Still enjoyed it tho

It looks in beautiful nick Bob. Have you maintained her yourself ?

Yeup.
There's a few rust spots but don't we all have a few of those :(

Should have got an Alfa Bob, no rust on my old girl. Nice red leather seats as well. ;)

I did notice. very nice :)

Apparently, according to the garage records, my tyres have done over 33,000 miles and still going strong :)

No such thing as an Alfa with no rust, it comes fitted as standard equipment from factory

Lol

Nice 3 series Bob ;)

13 years old and no rust, and only ever been to the garage for it's annual service. Am beginning to think it might be an Audi with the wrong badge. :D :D

316 eh, I've had more powerful lawn mowers.

Mrs mogs first company car was a green 316 auto, same model as yours. Nice to drive. Next was a 318 manual, which was rubbish. Then a 320, followed by a 325, a 325tii compact, and now her z3m coupe. A bit brand loyal is the mrs.

Me? Not sold on bimmers.

Give me a merc any day. Or one in disguise.

Well, it gives me hope for mine.
They are good cars, but boy can they cost a lot.

Then again, at least they don't seem to rust fatally.

I took my 1999 "S" reg Ford Puma for an MOT (85k) and was told I'd need to spend some money on welding to get it through next year. :o

Always buy German or Japanese when its comes to cars as Bob has proved once again.

Yep. My foray into the world of Ford was because I wanted something small and nippy and read good things about the Puma 1.7. Sadly, it'll be a return to Japanese again to match the other and the Beemer.

Got to be another Celica, but the 1.8 is SO dull.
