It takes a lot to force me off a golf course...

I was playing a match last week when we suffered the downfall that resulted in floods around where I live. The bizarre thing for it for me was how hard you had to hit the ball on the green when surface water was on it. I've played on green with water on before but never experienced anything like it and will stay with me forever I guess as too will the drive home!!

Exactly what i was thinking.. was this just a flash flood or something . seems to be steadily raining ,

Looks like course should have been closed & no body should be on it ..

It was the Glasgow Club @ Killermont. Flash floods of biblical proportions. We were in short sleeves on the 4th, and my partner actually put his shades on.( I therefore blame him) Rain started as we walked onto the 6th tee.

We had to run for cover after we tee'd off on the 6th, and took shelter under a tree for 15mins until we had to walk off. Thats how long it took for monsoon to ensure the 5th green to turn into a water feature.

A waste of a half day in tropical Glasgow.

I've come down south for a few days and it's hot hot hot, blue skies with occasional light shower, Scotland really sux with the weather.

Was out last Saturday when we had a thundery squall with torrential rain being driven horizontal by a howling wind...in fact typical British summer weather!

Carried on after it passed and scored 36pts for the first time ever so maybe I need extreme weather:rofl:
