Hi fellow golfers.I am going on a family holiday in April to the lovely isle of Skye and have discovered this nice wee 9 hole links.Have any of you good folk played it,and if so what did you make of it? Any tips for the course? As usual all input appreciated! Cheers :D

Howdy

Played this course in Feb last year. Lucked out and got a super dry, calm and bright day. Course is fine. Reasonable 9 hole lay out in good condition. Plays as an 18 as most holes have 2 sets of tees to add variety...nice touch.

The real treat are the beautiful views over to Raasay and the Red Cullins and as far as the Old Man of Storr to the North. Well worth a visit.

There is also another 9 hole course in the North of the Isle at the Skeabost Hotel. Didn't get a chance to play but looks reasonable.

Have a good trip and don't forget your camera!

Second everything said above about the course at Sconser. I've been up to Skye often for the climbing over the last few years and always take the clubs. Even took out Country membership one year for about a hundred quid and played about 15 times in the 3 weeks I was up there. I've not played the one at the north end of the island but I've been told it's not as good. Had a look around while passing once though and wasn't impressed, it's in the grounds of a hotel and not a club.
