Yes. He's won twice this year. Competition is much fiercer now so he won't cominate in the same fashion but he will seriously contend at one of the two majors remaining this year IMO.

When you're like Tiger and at a level where your career is judged in terms of Majors won then my view is he needs to win another to be 'back'
that said I think it's good to see him winning

Gareth can you please clarify what you mean by 'back'. He's back playing golf, he's back winning tournaments, he's back being moody and uninteresting in post round interviews, he's back dominating media headlines. But is he back to his best? Hell no.

PS having read Mike's post I think he is right. He needs to win a Major

I'm a massive fan of Tiger but is it really necessary to have this poll every time he wins?

Top of the Fedex Cup, more PGA Tour wins this season than anyone else - I think that answers the question.

We might as well get used to him winning again, we might as well prepare ourselves for when he wins another major and the boys at the top of yhe world rankings better buck their ideas up or not make themselves too comfortable cause Tiger will be back at number 1 before too long. I know some people won't like this statement but he is, without question, the best player in the world - period

I don't think he's back as he was in 2001-2005 but the game is tougher now, he's older and more damaged, but is he back?

Back to being the one to watch with awe instead of pity? Yes
Back to hitting amazing shots? Yes
Back to winning? Yes

Back to winning majors? No

What if loss of form were to become permanent - happened to scores of other golfers over the years - admittedly golfers not as good as Woods was/is, but very good players nonetheless...

What like alot of people banded around last year when he had no wins without injury or marital problems?
So with most wins of the year so far and being number 1 on the FedEx he still hasn't found form yet?
Just asking.

When did he go away? He was always in the limelight even when not playing top golf. He was always splashed over lots of marketing, some old but still seemed to be 'everywhere'.

I doubt Tiger will go away until golf is a long forgotten sport when we are all living on another planet or live in a computer generated world.

I thought that was Luke Donald... ;)

Donald, McIlroy, Westwood (didn't Kaymer get there as well one part of it?) have all just been keeping the seat warm. Having said that, once Tiger's reign recommences and then ends at some point down the line, McIlroy is the heir apparent.
