Is the social side important to you?

Not ar*ed about the social side. The course believe it or not is starting to look really good and greens running true. They were cored 3 or 4 weeks ago so had a few weeks of shoddyness but coming in to its own now.

If your coming out to play on Thurs night a sweep goes out at 5 so need to go just before or after it. Same applies to you Moff.

After would be better for me - 6ish ? - my course is out, just looked at the calendar & the Tee is reserved from 5.15 - 6.30 for the team game.

Joined mine for the course and know a couple of people. Most people have been friendly enough and have never really struggled to find someone to play with although I have played a good few rounds on my own but they are normally late evening rounds which I just use for practice. I have made some good golfing friends but the social side never came into it to be honest.

I think the social side is really important. If you aren't friends with the other members there is less to look forward to and it makes playing that bit more awkward. I think it is definitely worth finding a new club where the people are welcoming and you really look forward to going and playing.
