Having just got my handicap certificate for Beau, ive noticed since january my handicap has gone from 9.3 to 11 dead. However i dont think my game is really that bad,in fact in some places my game has improved, where others have gone off a little bit.Does anyone elses results not paint a true picture of their game. :)

Yes, playing some good golf, striking the ball well, chipping better and holing some good putts but that has resulted in me going up .4 so far this year. Just the odd howling hole is turning cuts into buffer zones or .1 rises.

Apart from a 0.5 cut for a level par72 i've had 7 x 0.1's back this year. I'm still hitting it well off the tee but my short game is pants and i'm failing to get up and down and missing any short birdie putts I get too. I've hardly done a minutes practice round the greens in the last couple of months so its not surprising i'm chunking , thinning and generally messing things up. I've never been happier :D

I've developed an annoying habit of throwing on at lest one big score during a round at the moment. Even today after a really tidy knock in that wind, I managed to lob a 7 in for a triple.

Frustrating, annoying, I think my concentration goes missing too often

I've gone to 12 (11.5) but feel that my game is so much better than when I got to 11.2

I've slowed the swing down and the results have been brilliant. Just got to go out in a comp, relax and play like I have in practice

Gone from 11.2 to 12.8. A lot of that was down to the short game going awol but following the work Iput in over the winter to compress down more on the ball my ball striking had been very good. I've lost a little of that (ok a fair chunk) having not played or practiced for a few weeks looking after my mum. Played yesterday in the roll up and had 18 going out with a no pointer on one hole but fell away on the last couple. Not sure I got my reward over the last few months for the quality of the strike and somehow always found a way of chucking one or two horror holes into an otherwise good round.

I did wonder what had happened this year PJ looking at your hc in your sig. Especially after last year where you seemed to come down like you were going to be really low.

If you think you're still playing well then don't worry about it. The scoring will come if you keep playing well.
